Mitchell Kokko

Mitchell Kokko is a General Partner and Investment Committee Member at Valley Capital Partners, leading the investment team and post-investment support. Additionally, Mitchell oversees the firms day to day operations, managing the investment team and diligence process, deal flow pipeline and evaluation, and firm expansion and growth around the world, while spending time working as a board member with a number of active portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Valley Capital, Mitchell spent five years at the Notre Dame Pit Road Fund in South Bend, IN- the University of Notre Dame’s pre-seed and seed stage venture capital fund. Notable investments within a portfolio of 43 companies included Simba Chain (Series A led by Valley Capital Partners), Madison Reed (Series D led by Norwest Venture Partners), Lucata (Series B led by John Donovan, former CEO, AT&T), Ritual Media (Series Seed led by Pivot North Capital), Vital View, NDX, Resonado Labs and Atlas 3D (acquired by Siemens). Mitchell held a number of roles during his time at Notre Dame, beginning as an analyst and quickly advancing to serve as a Principal and Member of the Investment Committee.

Before joining the Notre Dame Pit Road Fund, Mitchell spent time as an operator and entrepreneur, spending time at Ecwid as a Head of Product under Steve O’Hara’s brother, Jim O’Hara (acquired by Lightspeed) and was a co-founder and COO of Xstudia (2019 SB-Elkhart Young Entrepreneur of the Year). Mitchell is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, with a Bachelors of Business Administration and a graduate of the Culver Academies.
